Spider-Woman and Sunfire Redesign

Description

Since Marvel NOW! premiered, I've been pretty disappointed with some missed opportunities for updating their roster so I'm gonna be putting a series of redesigns. I was going to take a break from doodles but my girlfriend insisted I stop being a bitch and get more of my stuff out there.

First up:

Spider-woman - Originally, I wasn't going to nag about her design but with the Avengers' latest costume redesigns, she feels out of place. Not only does her outfit feel out of place, but during Infinity, she had that awkward combination of her costume and armor so I decided to give her a more tactical look since she is an agent of SHIELD on the side. Inspiration taken from HALO harnesses and wingsuits, I decided to update her "wings" since there was no way they were practical as gliding accessories. I also chose less bright colors for her to give her outfit a "padded" look so it didnt' feel she was literally just wearing a one-piece.

Sunfire - I love the lineup for Uncanny Avengers but I don't understand why they skipped updating Havok and Sunfire completely. (Well, Havok, I was more disappointed they didn't stick with his previous costume and went back to his original gimp-esque gear) With Sunfire, I wanted to keep him with his traditional look while giving him back a homage to his AoA/Famine look. His original costume just doesn't work in today's art - his mask feels like a rag glued to his face. I wasn't entirely satisfied with the outcome since he ended up looking like a Power Ranger but honestly, that's how he traditionally looked anyway. ;P

Spider-Woman and Sunfire are properties of Marvel Comics.

For Spider-Woman, to be honest, I kind of prefer the wings stretching down to the ankles.
